ICU ACADEMIC CREDIT
The Ministry of Education (Monbusho) in Japan
does not permit Japanese universities
to
issue an official transcript with credits
earned for summer programs or for any
programs
outside the regular academic year.
However,
upon request, ICU will provide a Letter
of
Certification describing the amount
of work
completed and the level of performance
attained
for those who have successfully completed
any of the Summer Courses. Such letters will state that the Summer Courses
correspond in content, teaching method
and
discipline to university level courses
which
are assigned six academic units of
credit.
Normally students who have this certificate
of completion have no difficulty transferring
these units of academic credit to their
