German university education stimulates independent inquiry, fresh insights and creativity, and tends toward the interdisciplinary. For persons with at least two years of college German language study, this University of Munich program can be an excellent and rewarding educational experience.

Participants study alongside German students and take a full course load, approximately 20 (German) credit hours, which roughly translates into approximately 15 (US) credit hours per semester. Participants complete all assignments in German. Two semesters: "Winter" (mid-October through mid-February) and "Summer" (mid-April through mid-July) comprise the German academic year.

In addition to intermediate and advanced German language study, participants may select courses in German with regard to German literature, history, government, business, arts and culture, society, and other subjects that are made available to students who prove themselves to have a good command of the German language. As one studies alongside native German students, one becomes a part of the culture, which is an optimal method of learning a language, culture, and civilization. (Optional weekend excursions to nearby Bavaria, Stuttgart, Berlin, and more.)

Eligibility: Students (under-graduate) 3.0 GPA, plus at least two years of college German language study; (college graduates) GPA more flexible, plus same pre-requisite German language study.

Levels of Instruction:
intermediate through advanced levels, plus regular courses in German in diverse subjects.

Duration: semester and academic year.

Languages of Instruction:
most courses are conducted in German.

Program Fee Includes: tuition, transcript, housing in student residence, most meals, insurances, International Student Identity Card, orientation, advisement, air and ground transport OW NY-Munich.

Program Fee Does Not Include:
items subject to personal preference and interest, such as baggage insurance, in-city transportation, entertainment, restaurants, museums, laundry, personal shopping, return airfare at participant's convenience.

Program Fee: Semester - $16,495-17,495; Academic Year - $29,495 - $31,495. (Due to some currency fluctuations and other academic, cultural, and/or political etc. matters beyond its control, EduServe/ GlobaLearn Programs reserve the right to modify the above fee if any such changes in normally anticipated constant conditions occur prior to departure from The USA.)

Application Deadlines: January 30 for mid-April-mid-July program.
May 15 for mid-October-mid-February program. Apply as early as possible for guaranteed space.

Registration Deadlines: February 15 for mid-April-mid-July program. May 31 for mid-October-mid-February program. A nonrefundable deposit of $500 is required upon registration. Balance is required prior to departure. Register early for guaranteed space.
